By Ruth Barnard

Sol3 Mio's performances are filled with heart, humour and mind blowing talent. They are a unique singing group who mix opera with a familiar and fun modern style. Sol3 Mio is made up of two brothers Pene and Amitai, and their cousin Moses.

We asked Pene to give Upstarters an introduction to the group...

“What makes Sol3 Mio is the camaraderie we have not only as a group, but as family, as friends, as brothers. This brings a unique sound to the table and really defines us. Sol3 Mio is made up of two tenors and a baritone, which gives further depth to the group. Individually we have a diverse set of skills that contribute to the music whether it is writing, composing, singing, making people laugh, sharing the love, whatever it may be, it's just who we are. Just three bros who love what they do.” – Pene.

Christmas and Summer Tour.

From December 14th to January 6th Sol3 Mio throw on their shorts and jandals, and head to the beaches and holiday hotspots for their tour of Aotearoa.

And the best bit? Kids are free* at most of the venues (*one child per one full paying adult)!

Amitai told us what we can expect from their summer tour and the kind of songs they will be performing...

“We'll be performing a lot of Christmas repertoire throughout the Christmas period of the tour and introducing some new favourites. For the beginning of the New Year, we'll bring back some of our favourites and some classics that people have asked for. We like to ask our fans what they want to hear from us too. Our shows are our relaxed, fun and full of laughs, so come along and have a great time!” – Amitai.
