This sweet Mother's Day treat is filled with chocolate, oats and spiced pears. Simply mix the ingredients together, leave in the fridge overnight and serve on Mother's Day morning.


  • Tinned and/or fresh ripened pears

  • Mixed spices (or cinnamon stick, fresh ginger and whole nutmeg)

  • Syrup

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup milk (cow's milk or almond milk)

  • 1 tbsp Greek vanilla yoghurt

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder

  • Seeds, sliced almonds and dried cranberries (or other nuts of choice)

  • Dark chocolate drops

  • Mug or bowl to present the breakfast in

1. Prepare the Spiced Pears

         * Always ask an adult before using a knife.


2. Make the Chocolate Oats


3. Serve on Mother's Day Morning

You can experiment with other flavours too depending on what you're mum enjoys most.

You could try:

  • Apple crumble

  •  Banana and milk chocolate

  • Raspberry and white chocolate
