  • ¾ cup warm water

  • 1 Tbsp yeast

  • Pinch sugar

  • 3 ¼ cup white flour

  • 1 tspn salt

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • ½ cup milk

  • Vegemite and grated cheese

 

  1. Pour warm water intoa small bowl then add yeast and the sugar.

  2. Wait about five minutes until it is bubbly.

  3. In a large bowl combine flour, salt and olive oil. Make a little well in the centre of the flour mixture and mix in the yeast and milk.

  4. Mix with a knife until you have formed a ball shape.

  5. Knead the dough for about five minutes.

  6. Place it in a big bowl. Put the bowl in a warm place for one hour (it will double in size).

  7. After one hour punch the middle of the dough. It will collapse.

  8. Roll out (use flour if you need to) to about 1.5 cm thick.

  9. Spread a thin layer of Vegemite onto the dough and sprinklewith cheese. Roll it into a tight sausage.

  10. Cut into slices just wider than your thumb width. Place face upon a tray.

  11. Cook in oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.

They come out looking delicious!
