Dr. Seuss Title Text

March 2 is Dr. Seuss's birthday and this year he would have been 115 years old!

During his lifetime, Dr. Seuss wrote over 40 amazing books, many of which have been turned into movies.
For example, The Lorax, The Cat in the Hat and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, to name but a few.

  • Dr. Seuss's full name was Theodor Seuss Geisel and his friends called him Ted.

  • Dr. Seuss wasn't really a doctor.

  • While he is a famous children's author, he never had any children of his own.

  •  He wrote Green Eggs and Ham after one of his friends bet him that he couldn't write a book using just 50 different words.

  • Whenever he had writers block and didn't know what to write, he would try on different wacky hats until he found one that helped him to find the right words.

  • His first book ("And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street" - written in 1937) was rejected by publishers 27 times
