presented by Malaysia Airlines representative David Manners at assemblies held at the schools earlier this month.
Mr Manners said: “the winning pupils had used their imaginations to capture the heart of Malaysia”. |

Elephant musings Freya’s essay called
Elephant Memories was an imaginative piece written from the perspective of Freya and her parents watching wild elephant calves playing in a river.
Freya said she came up with her idea by first looking at what animals Malaysia has and then picking her favourite and building the story around it.
Freya’s dad Liam O'Sullivan said that originally she wasn't happy with her work and didn't think it was worth sending in. “She was genuinely shocked to discover she had won and is looking forward to seeing Malaysia’s elephants for real.”
Amazing Malaysia
Lucy Davy’s mum and dad had kept the win a secret from her for over a month.
Lucy’s essay, called
Magical Memorable Malaysia described some of the amazing activities and attractions Malaysia has to offer visitors.
Both families plan to pay for additional tickets for the whole family to visit Malaysia.
