Upstart Magazine is produced by independent publishers, Syrup Publishing Ltd based in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
 
Syrup Publishing Ltd is owned by Sue and Sam Hoyle.


 
Publisher/Editor: Sue Hoyle 

 

Sue has over 20 years experience as a newspaper and magazine journalist/editor.

She was formerly CEO/Managing Editor of Tearaway Press Limited, responsible for editing Tearaway Magazine and its associated collateral, including the special teacher publication, Teacher Link. During her tenure, Tearaway Magazine won numerous industry awards and accolades. 

Sue has worked extensively with a wide range of organisations, particularly in the youth sector.

Sam Hoyle provides business planning and IT support to Syrup Publishing Ltd.
