Late, but worth it!

Have you ever watched the movies High School Musical 1 & 2?

If you have then you will know that they are great performers who sing and dance extremely well.

On Friday, June 6, I was feeling really excited.

Tomorrow we would be heading to the High School Musical Ice Show.

After school we headed to Timaru.

We stayed in a motel at the camping ground. In the morning before we left, I wanted to play on the bouncing pillow.
Oh my goodness! One of our tyres has an air pocket. Anger! Sad! Impatient! Stressed!!!!! These were some of the emotions that I felt.

We were about an hour and a half away from Christchurch and we weren’t going to make it in time.

On the bright side, the man who helped us with the car had a litter of puppies. They were balls of fluff and they were very cute and cuddly.

Finally we got to the Westpac Ice Stadium.

Hooray!

I was angry because I had missed the first half.

Wow, it was huge. It was crowded. It seemed like there were millions of people.

The ice skating rink was enormous.

I found out that it wasn’t really an ice skating rink, but an indoor sports centre with fake ice.

As I walked in they were starting to sing, What Time Is It?

The skaters were already out there.
I thought they were really good skaters. They could jump up and spin around at the same time.

One of the skaters could do the splits in the air.

The skaters’ dresses and tights were really pretty.  They were glittery and shiny.

Half way through the second half they had a fireworks display.

It was loud and hurt my ears but it was really amazing.

I think they put together a really good show even if I did only get to see some of it.

Home. How boring!
