How did you first get into MX?

I started going to trail rides with my dad and got into motocross after watching a few races.

What are your most recent achievements?

2nd Patetonga Twilight Series 5th 2008 Valley Champs.

What kind of training/practice is involved?

Road cycling. Core strength workouts on a swiss ball. BMX cycling and running. I try to ride every Saturday at different practice tracks and at least once during the week.

Favourite moves/tricks/stunts?

Play riding with mates especially jumps. I like watching Travis Pastrana and his mates do their ridiculous stunts on their DVDs. My favorite trick to watch is the ruler backflip performed by a guy named Bilko.

What’s your ultimate MX goal?

To ride overseas at some of the tracks that we see on TV and on the DVDs.

How can other kids get into MX?

You have to want to ride motorbikes. Talk your parents into helping you by taking you to the tracks and events. Your local motorbike shops will be more than happy to help with advice.

HIGHLIGHT:

What is MotoX?

Motocross (often shortened to MX or MotoX) is a form of motorcycle racing or all-terrain vehicle racing held on enclosed off-road circuits.

It’s considered the world's most popular form of motorcycle racing and is one of the most physically demanding sports in existence. Riders need to be fit and strong to do well.

Motocross tracks are often quite large and include lots of hills, turns, and jumps.

A rider’s goal is to complete a set number of laps (usually three to seven for amateurs, more for professionals) or fixed time period (anything up to 40 minutes) first.
